Instead of squares on the sides of rt. triangle,similar plane figures?Start from
rectilinear regular closed figures & generalise?

Reduce/increase rt.angle and study corresponding changes in the sides(square of
the sides).Generalise into a theorem

Diff proofs of pythogorean thm. available from History of Maths(Motivational
activity!)
