Students often enjoy solving problems or reinforcing concepts to the class on
the Smart Board.
I sometimes even start an interactive Brainpop quiz or jeopardy review activity
on the Smart Board. The students like to volunteer to come up to the Smart
Board and answer the questions in front of the class. Then, they like to pick
another student to come up for the next problem.
Using the wireless slate a majority of the time may hinder this dynamic
interaction of students. Using this slate in moderation may be a better idea.
When introducing a new topic or concept, this slate may be helpful to the
teacher. But, for a great majority of the time, the students sill need that
avenue of helping others by coming up to the Smart Board and solving problems in
front of the class.
