I think it is a great idea to have the students make predictions and then see if
they are right.  If they're wrong, they'll want to understand why, and if
they're right, they will be proud that they were good guessers!  I also think
the partner idea is great, because if the two disagree, it will get a good
debate going to defend their ideas.
