The title of this discussion really explains how this tools will help students
understand.  It will provide the opportunity to Understand.  Since graphs are
often laborious for a young student since they need to focus on the steps in
creating the graph.  Students are not focusing on the purpose of the graph.  By
using this quick graphing applet, students experiment with the variables and
have an instant visual representation.  From this you can discuss with students
the meaning and have them manipulate it other ways to determine the changes
which will occur.  This I believe will help students to understand the
relationships they see on a graph.
