The Great International Green Globs Contest
Time Frame: May 22 – June 6 2008

Description: Students combine computer game fun and serious mathematics in a
face-off of the "Green Globs Contest." After learning about coordinate graphs
and equations in math class, students put their knowledge to work by going after
the highest score on a posted Green Globs array. Highest scores will be posted
on the contest website. You can use the current posting of arrays
( http://DMCpress.org/gg ) to prepare for the contest. The official contest
challenges will be posted on 6/2/08.
Software needs: Green Globs and Graphing Equations (PC & Mac OS 10.5 versions)
available from http://www.greenglobs.net. However, you can compete without the
software by downloading the score sheets with screen shots from the contest
website http://DMCpress.org/gg and submitting your equations by email to
globscontestcentral@mac.com
