You may have noticed the significant buzz in the last 24 hours about Apple's new
release -- the free app "iBooks Author", available from the Mac app store.
With iBooks Author, you can create materials for your class that can contain
galleries, video, interactive diagrams, 3D objects, and (if you have MathType
installed) equations. Technically these materials you create are ebooks, but
they can be as short as one page or as long as several hundred pages. You can
add custom speech text to equations, that can be read aloud by the iPad app
VoiceOver. For more information on using MathType with iBooks Author, see our
