Subject:   Copyright and copying wrongs
Author: Joel Duffin

I just ran across a five part series of articles titled: Copyrights and Copying
Wrongs at Education World
( http://www.education-world.com/a_curr/curr280a.shtml ). It provides a nice
overview of copyright issues for teachers as they relate to reusing web based
resources. My research with teachers indicates that many are largely unaware of
copyright issues. They assume that Fair Use
( http://www4.law.cornell.edu/cgi-bin/htm_hl?DB=uscode17&STEMMER=en&WORDS=fair +us+&COLOUR=Red&STYLE=s&URL=/uscode/17/107.html)
allows them to use whatever they want pretty much how they want since they are
not using it to make money.

What is your perspective?
