An idea that Varnelle Moore uses in her lessons:

that are also individually cataloged in Math Tools, is to include both virtual
manipulatives and concrete manipulatives (as well as paper/pencil activities and
storybooks). If you view the bottom of this page of photos:

you can see that the kindergarten children are using both kinds of manipulatives
as they work on the lesson.
