equations that produce them as well as the context they all repesent. Algebraic
fluency means understanding the connections between GETS Graphs, Equations,
Tables, and Stories. A student "GETS" it when they can move fluidly between all
four and dig deep into the connections. One of the better activities I have
seen that does this is to give a student one of the four components, have them
determine the other three components, and create questions such as what does the
xintercept mean or when, "yvalue" is... what is "xvalue"?
