| Description: |
In this lesson, students will fit the line through the data, show and define the residuals on the graph, find the least-squares regression line make a prediction based on the model, and discuss the appropriateness of making predictions. Students will use Fathom software to help them analyze, compare, and make predictions based on numerical, algebraic, and graphical representations of data. Students will also discuss the influence of outliers on the model and the appropriateness of making predictions. |
