I began creating worksheets with microsoft Excel then I thought (there's got to be an easier way).... What would I do to add this functionality to a website?" ***FEATURED SUPPORT MATERIAL Support Material: Pascal's Triangle http://mathforum.org/mathtools/support/84090/ Math Images This Math Images page catalogs an image of Pascal's Triangle along with a basic description, mathematical explanations, and references. ***FEATURED TOOL Tool: Math Images Tool: Pascal's Triangle http://mathforum.org/mathtools/tool/84089/ Emily Goldberg This Flash animation, developed as part of the Math Images project, allows users to explore some of the patterns present in Pascal's Triangle. ***FEATURED TOOL Tool: Parametric Surfaces in Cylindrical Coordinates http://mathforum.org/mathtools/tool/83945/ Barbara Kaskosz and Doug Ensley This applet graphs a parametric surface defined in cylindrical coordinates. Enter parametric formulas for the theta, r, and z, and the grapher draws the corresponding surface in 3D. The user can then rotate the surface in real time, and change its opacity. An older version of the grapher includes a few interesting practice problems. ***FEATURED TOOL Tool: Function Grapher http://mathforum.org/mathtools/tool/83220/ Barbara Kaskosz and Doug Ensley One of these function graphers graphs two functions at a time and traces them; the other graphs three functions at a time. ***FEATURED TOOL Tool: The translation transformation - Math Open Reference http://mathforum.org/mathtools/tool/82993/ John Page A web page and interactive (Flash) applet demonstrating the translation transformation. Drag the vertices of a given triangle, and the translated image of the triangle is updated as they drag. A translated image can be dragged around to see that it moves on the plane but does not change its shape or orientation. ***FEATURED TOOL Tool: Area and perimeter of a rectangle (Coordinate Geometry) - Math Open Reference http://mathforum.org/mathtools/tool/82988/ John Page A web page and interactive (Flash) applet demonstrating the reflection transformation. Drag the vertices of a triangle and re-position the line of reflection. The reflected image of the triangle is updated as they drag.
