| Description: |
The applet is designed to teach students four distinct facts about Mars, each dealing with a different topic. Each fact teaches a difference between Earth and Mars. The goal is not that students will memorize each of the facts, but rather that they will gain exposure to the facts and add them to their mental image of Mars. |

| Comment: | Though the students may enjoy clicking around on the screen, I doubt they would actually learn much from the activity. Too much reading involved. maybe in the context of a well designed lesson they could glean the information from it. |

| Comment: | Nice graphics, but the "interactive" component wasn't too good (at least from a math perspective). How about a few conversion questions? |

| Comment: | For a small, closed activity it is cute and well done. But is that the goal of the Trails project? Little pieces of CAI? I would expect something a bit more ambitious in getting after conceptual understanding. |

| Comment: | Has GREAT potential. I'd like to see it in the context of a lesson. Sound was a bit loud and annoying to my ears. What's the motivation to stay engaged in the tool? What are the learning objectives? Is there a place to find this? |

| Comment: | An interactive way to learn about Mars and how it compares to Earth. Even though it does lack higher level thinking skills, could easily be adapted using Venn diagrams, etc. |

| Comment: | Really it is good enough to teach a child, but sometimes he has to wait next view with white screen without segnal. Do you think that it is better to add bar signals to show what the prog is doing? Thanks. |

| Comment: | Easy to use, interesting facts, fairly simple mathematical comparisons. Appropriate for elementary grades and as a possible launch into middle school earth science studies. |

| Comment: | It was fun, but didnt have much to do with math |
