Description:

Web Components for Mathematics (webcompmath or WCM) is a library used to create interactive graphing web applets for teaching mathematics. It is written in the Java programming language and is based on Java Components for Mathematics, which was developed at Hobart and Williams Smith Colleges under NSF funding. WCM updates JCM with current Java technology.

WCM includes configurable applets that teachers can use to create interactive web pages without Java programming (although knowledge of HTML is needed). Java programmers can create fully-custom graph-based applets or applications. WCMGrapher, used to create graphs for pasting into other programs, is an example of an application based on WCM.

WCM is free, open source software and runs on Windows, Macintosh, and Linux systems.
