| Description: | This interactive tool is one of a series of tools created by Conceptua Math that are designed for teacher-facilitated instruction. Teachers work with students using this tool to help them build conceptual understanding of fractions by creating artwork on a grid, where each color represents a fraction. Students can either create a design that reflects given fractions or enter the fraction number for each color represented in a design. This tool is designed to help students learn that the value of a fraction will change to reflect a change in the unit. It also reinforces concepts of equivalence and addition of uncommon denominators as students determine the fractional amounts of each color represented. It is designed to work on an interactive white board. | ||
