     One day Mr. Green told the class that he had just celebrated his birthday. The students all tried to guess his age. He gave these clues:



     1. Mr. G's age divided by 5 leaves a remainder of 4.

2. Mr. G's age divided by 4 leaves a remainder of 3.

3. Mr. G's age divided by 3 leaves a remainder of 2.

4. Mr. G's age divided by 2 leaves a remainder of 1.

5. Mr. G's age is the smallest number that fits the other clues.
