NWMI conducts a weeklong residential program during the summer for
secondary math teachers. A major feature of the program is an intensive
institute centered on hands-on geometry. In addition there are two-day
mini-courses on topics ranging from graph theory to data and statistics
and a new four-day middle grades program. NWMI also sponsors a fall and a
spring full-day workshop which are held on Saturdays at various locations
throughout the state of Washington.
Starting in 2004, NWMI has partnered with the PCMI PD3 program in Seattle Public Schools to provide special professional development opportunites
for Seattle teachers.
