Data Analysis Summary
Thursday, July 12
Today we were excited to have Bill Finzer, the author of FATHOM come on board with us. He talked to the group, giving an overview of FATHOM (along with anecdotes of happenings during the creation stages of FATHOM). Bill was very interested to hear what we thought of the program, and at what level we were at. He answered all of our questions that we had compiled in the last 3 days, but first he asked if we had gone to the HELP window (which we hadnąt thought of!) So we explored the types of questions that can be answered using the HELP window and were surprised to find out that most of our questions could have been answered there!
We then moved to the lab and worked on some activities in the Data in Depth workbook with Bill looking over our shoulders, asking and answering questions, and showing us some things that we hadnąt yet discovered. Don asked a question and Bill realized there was a flaw in one of the investigations. He made a mental note of it.

Our group always ends up becoming so involved with the program and the investigations that we are working past our session end time!
