Investigating Geometry Summary
Monday - Friday, July 16 - 20, 2007
Groups continued work on their projects. At the end of the session, teachers were shown a few sample projects from past years (both abstracts and supporting files) as examples.
Groups spent the first third of the session working out the details of their project. Suzanne then came to talk about the proper forms and organization needed to complete each project. The last third of the session was spent by fleshing out a project abstract and continuing on respective projects.
Working groups did not meet today.
Teams finalized their projects by completing the cover sheet and by organizing their project documents. As the projects were being collected electronically, larger groups were organized by focus topic (measurement and transformations) to create a cohesive presentation to the SSTP group.
Each working group presented the results of their cumulative work to the entire SSTP group. Each working group did a wonderful job at both creating and presenting meaningful lessons and resources.
