How many ways can you construct an isosceles triangle?

You can also see our sketch.

1.One way to construct an isosceles triangle is to construct 2 radii of a circle and connect them with at the points on the circle with a segment.

2. construct a rhombus ( that includes squares) and construct a diagonal in either direction.

3. Construct tangents to a circle from a point outside the circle. connect the tangents at the point of tangency with a segment.

4. Construct a diameter perpendicular to a chord. The diameter bisects the chord. Connect the endpoints of the chord to the center of the circle and you have an isosceles triangle. This is similar to using radii (#1), but it takes a different approach.

5. Construct a right triagle and the median of the segment across from the right angle. By doing this, you create two isosceles triangles because a median drawn in this way is equidistant from all vertices.

6. Construct the perpendicular bisector of a segment and and connect the two endpoints of the segment to a point on the bisector.
