Utah Council of Teachers of Mathematics (UCTM) (9 November 2014)
Annie Fetter and Max Ray each presented at the conference in Layton, UT. They also helped facilitate the Ignite session with speakers: Amy Kinder, Annie Fetter, Diana Suddreth, Dough Corey, Jeff Zivkovic, Jet Warr, Lisa Jasumback, Max Ray, and Tom Morrell.
 
Pennsylvannia Council of Teachers of Mathematics (PCTM) (8 November 2014)
Annie Fetter and Max Ray gave sessions in Capital West throughout the day on Thursday of the conference. Suzanne Alejandre and Stephen Weimar gave sessions in Capital West throughout the day on Friday of the conference. In addition one Math Forum staff was at the Math Forum booth in the Exhibit Hall.
 
2015 Mathematics Game (7 November 2014)
Get a jump start on our annual arithmetic challenge! Gearing up for a nineteenth year, the Math Forum's Year Game puzzle returns this January. We'll be looking for students to write expressions for each of the counting numbers 1 through 100 using
  • the digits in 2015
  • standard operations
  • grouping symbols
Come preview this year's complete rules, worksheet, and manipulatives now. Starting Thursday, 1 January, 2015, students may submit solutions, which we'll start displaying 1 February.

Powerful Problem Solving Workshop (31 October 2014)
Suzanne Alejandre, Annie Fetter, Max Ray and Stephen Weimar gave sessions for the Boyertown Area School District staff.
 
Philadelphia Engineering/Math Challenge (29 October 2014)
The first of four scheduled events took place today on Drexel University's campus. View today's event: October 29 Competition: Results, Photos and Files.
 
Ignite! (24 October 2014)
Ignite talks helped celebrate AMTNJ's 100th Anniversary! Each of our featured speakers will show what makes them passionate mathematical educators, as 20 PowerPoint slides auto-advance every 15 seconds ... whether they are ready or not!
