December Math Forum Online PD Courses (28 December 2012) Our next professional development courses start soon: Problem Solving Strategies PoW Class Membership: Resources & Strategies for Effective Implementation Mentor Your Own: Supporting Strong Development of Mathematical Practices Learning from Student Work: Make the Most of Your PoW Membership CMC-North: Asilomar, CA (2 December 2012) Suzanne Alejandre and Marie Hogan, math teacher from West Covina, California, co-presented two sessions at the California Mathematics Council - Northern Section (CMC-North) conference.   November IAS/PCMI Summer 2013 (30 November 2012) The Park City Mathematics Institute (PCMI) of the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) has begun accepting applications for its three-week residential program taking place in Park City, Utah, from June 30 - July 20, 2013. The Math Forum hosts information on PCMI's K-12 programs here, including SSTP working sites dating back to 2001:   Association of Mathematics Teachers of New York State: Rye Brook, NY (10 November 2012) Suzanne Alejandre and Bushra Makiya, math teacher from New York City, co-presented two sessions at the AMTNYS conference. Suzanne presented two additional sessions and talked to conference participants in the Math Forum booth in the Exhibit Hall.   CMC-South: Palm Springs, CA (2 November 2012) Suzanne Alejandre and Marie Hogan, math teacher from West Covina, California, co-presented two sessions at the California Mathematics Council - Southern Section (CMC-South) conference.   October Association of Teachers of Mathematics Of Philadelphia And Vicinity (ATMOPAV): Wallingford, Pennsylvania (27 October 2012) Annie Fetter, Max Ray, Valerie Klein and Suzanne Alejandre with Erin Igo presented and exhibited at the 1-day conference.   NCTM Regional Conference: Hartford, CT (26 October 2012) Annie Fetter, Max Ray, and Suzanne Alejandre with Betsy Peisach presented and exhibited at the 2-day conference.   Pennsylvania Council of Teachers of Mathematics (PCTM) Conference (18 October 2012) Max Ray exhibited and presented at the conference in Camp Hill, PA.   Georgia Mathematics Conference (17 October 2012) Stephen Weimar was invited to present three sessions at the 53rd Annual Georgia Mathematics Conference in Rock Eagle, GA.   PoW Membership: Resources & Strategies for Effective Implementation (11 October 2012) Suzanne Alejandre welcomed over 50 participants in four different sections of her online professional development course. The four sections include a focus on Primary, Elementary, Middle School and High School levels of the Problems of the Week.
