- FunPoW: Free Mentoring Opportunity (13 February 2006)
- Mentors from the Western Oregon University are offering free mentoring for the next Math Fundamentals Problem of the Week. Sports Weigh In will be active February 20 through March 5. Please have your students submit solutions. If your students receive replies from a mentor, encourage them to revise. Not only will your students learn more, but the mentors will learn as well! - Annie Fetter did Sketchpad activities with 6th, 7th, and 8th graders at Magnolia School in Magnolia, New Jersey.

- School District of Philadelphia Problems of the Week (12 January 2006)
- Stephen Weimar, Annie Fetter, Suzanne Alejandre, and Cynthia Paul introduced the new Problem of the Week service for the School District of Philadelphia to the Math Coaches serving the K-8 schools in the district. The three sessions on January 10 through 12, were held at De Burgos School.

- 2006 Mathematics Game - Judy Ann Brown (1 January 2006)
- Use the digits in the year 2006 and the operations +, -, x, ÷, ^ (raised to a power), sqrt (square root), and ! (factorial), along with grouping symbols, to write expressions for the counting numbers 1 through 100. This year we will also allow the use of decimal points and double-digit numbers.
