Get Ready for Pi Day (28 February 2014)
Got plans for March 14th? Before Pi Day rolls around, check out the Forum's Teacher2Teacher FAQ for Problems of the Week, Ask Dr. Math conversations, book suggestions, and other web resources on the theme.
Register for TwitterMathCamp 2014 (21 February 2014)
Tomorrow, registration for TwitterMathCamp (TMC) 2014 opens to the general public. This "guerrilla professional development for math teachers" nearly tripled in attendance from its first year to its second, which took place on the campus of Drexel University - the Math Forum's home. This year, TMC will take place the last long weekend of July in Jenks, Oklahoma. For the complete schedule and session descriptions, view:
Free Mentoring Opportunity (14 February 2014)
We have mentor groups from Missouri and Pennsylvania giving students feedback on three of the next four Math Fundamentals Problems of the Week - starting with "A Million in Time," now in preview, through the FunPoW that opens Monday, 31 March.

Philadelphia Engineering/Math Challenge (29 January 2014)
The second of four scheduled events took place today on Drexel University's campus. View the team pages:
Speak at Twitter Math Camp 2014 (3 January 2014)
The free event that has reinvigorated math teachers in St. Louis and Philadelphia - and across the Twitterverse - is now seeking topics and speakers for its next summer gathering. A shared, editable document for the presentations at Twitter Math Camp 2014 (TMC14) is open for your suggestions:
100th Day of School (2 January 2014)
In the coming weeks, many students will be attending school for the 100th day this school year. The 100th Day can be a lot of fun - and a teachable moment! Counting up to 100 for the 100th day of school gives teachers many special opportunities to investigate place value. The discussions and links to Web resources found in the FAQ provide many ideas to make your 100th Day a memorable experience for your students.
2014 Mathematics Game (1 January 2014)
The Math Forum's Year Game puzzle has returned for an eighteenth year! Come challenge your students to write expressions for each of the counting numbers 1 through 100 using
