Drexel Math Contest (18 December 2003)
Annie Fetter, Stephen Weimar, Richard Tchen, and Suzanne Alejandre assisted teachers and students in a kinesthetic and computer activity presented during the Second Annual Drexel Math Contest.

Honors 200 Seminar - Fall 2003 (26 November 2003)
Kristina Lasher works with Drexel University Honors students to examine the Math Forum site from many angles focusing on mathematics, student thinking, teaching, and mentoring.
 
Order your Dr. Math books! (11 November 2003)
The Math Forum is proud to announce the publication of Dr. Math Explains Algebra the second in a series of four books based on our popular online math resource, Ask Dr. Math. The first book, Dr. Math Gets You Ready for Algebra, is also available for purchase through Amazon.com and local bookstores.

3rd Annual NBC 10 Technology & Lifestyle Expo (10 November 2003)
Annie Fetter, Steve Risberg, Melissa Running, and Ian Underwood presented Math Forum resources at the NBC 10 Technology & Lifestyles Expo which was co-sponsored by Drexel University at The Fort Washington Expo Center.
 
California Mathematics Council Conference (10 November 2003)
Suzanne Alejandre presented "Math Tools: Helping Your Students Problem Solve" in two computer lab sessions at CMC-South's 44th Annual Fall Conference.
 
Southeast Delco Workshop (6 November 2003)
Annie Fetter, Kristina Lasher, Richard Tchen, and the fourth and fifth grade teachers of the Southeast Delco School District discussed ways to use technology as a tool to support mathematics instruction. The workshop was held in Folcroft, PA.
 
Radnor Workshop (4 November 2003)
Annie Fetter, Shelly Berman, Richard Tchen, and the middle and high school teachers of the Radnor School District discussed ways to use technology as a tool to support mathematics instruction. The workshop was held in Radnor, PA.
 
Free Mentoring in Pre-Algebra Nov 3-Dec 7 (3 November 2003)
The Math Forum will have volunteer mentor groups working with students in the Pre-Algebra Problem of the Week for the next two problems (that's four weeks of mentoring!). The problem "Geo in Jeopardy" is accepting submissions now through November 20. The mentor group is from California State University, Chico. The problem beginning November 17 will be mentored by a group from Western Oregon University.

Free Mentoring for "The North Hunterdon Triangle" GeoPoW (29 October 2003)
The Math Forum has a mentor group from North Hunterdon High School working with students in the Geometry Problem of the Week "The North Hunterdon Triangle." The problem will go live November 3 and submissions will be accepted through November 16.
 
Free Mentoring in Math Fundamentals Oct 27-Dec 7 (27 October 2003)
The Math Forum will have volunteer mentor groups working with students in the Math Fundamentals Problem of the Week for the next three problems (that's six weeks of mentoring!). The problem "Giving with Grapefruit" is accepting submissions now through November 9. The mentor group is from California State University, Los Angeles. The problems beginning November 10 and November 24 will be mentored by two mentor groups from Western Oregon University.
 
Free Mentoring for "Ready for Football?" PreAlgPoW (6 October 2003)
The Math Forum has a mentor group from Drexel University working with students in the Pre-Algebra Problem of the Week "Ready for Football?" The problem went live October 6 and submissions will be accepted through October 19.
