- Writing to Develop Understanding: The Math Forum @ Drexel's PoWs (30 December, 2006)
- ComMuniCator, the journal of the California Mathematics Council, published an article written by Suzanne Alejandre on pages 33 - 36 of their December, 2006, issue. CMC has generously allowed the Math Forum to make available a PDF version of the article.

- 2007 Mathematics Game - Judy Ann Brown (29 December, 2006)
- Use the digits in the year 2007 and the operations +, -, x, ÷, ^ (raised to a power), sqrt (square root), and ! (factorial), along with grouping symbols, to write expressions for the counting numbers 1 through 100. This year we will also allow the use of decimal points and double-digit numbers. Submissions open January 1 and the first solutions will be posted February 1, 2007.

- The Math Forum @ Drexel accepting applications to participate in one of five NSDL Online Teacher Workshops planned for 2007.

- School District of Philadelphia (SDP) Math Symposium (19 December, 2006)
- Stephen Weimar, Annie Fetter, and Suzanne Alejandre gave two presentations at the School District of Philadelphia's Math Symposium hosted by the School of Education, Drexel University. During the session, Using Math Tools to Foster Algebraic Reasoning participants investigated algebraic reasoning in middle school mathematics using online software tools. Participants in the Formative Assessment through Problem Solving and Writing session explored a diagnostic process and worked with the instructional rubric developed by the Math Forum.

At the 47th Annual California Mathematics Council - Southern Section conference in Palm Springs, Suzanne Alejandre presented workshops entitled "Using Resources at the Math Forum @ Drexel to Reach Every Learner." The Math Forum @ Drexel provided information about services and products at the TODOS Booth (233) in the Exhibit Hall.

- We released our new standards-aligned, grade-specific program to improve math problem solving: Write Math with the Math Forum adapts the engaging problems from the Problems of the Week program and correlates them to state standards and math topics.
