GSP Lab: Spirograph Machine (25 September 1996)
This lab studies the effects (both mathematical and artistic) of circular motion as points rotate around circles. Interesting things occur when a point moves around a circle as the circle rotates around another circle. Also called "Tea Cusps and Saucers."

Congressional Action Network (24 September 1996)
In partnership with the Joint Policy Board for Mathematics, the Forum now hosts a set of pages about the Congressional Action Network. Included is material from JPBM's 1996 Congressional Action Kit, which provides guidance and references to enhance your involvement in public policy deliberations.

Talk of the Nation, Science Friday (24 September 1996)
An edited version of a National Public Radio program which aired on September 9, 1994. Science Friday host Ira Flatow interviewed mathematicians Keith Devlin and William Dunham.

Math Activity of the Month (4 September 1996)
The first installment of a new monthly feature. Includes suggested activity, sample approaches, ways to share results with others, and on-line embellishments. September's activity: "Traffic Jam."

The Franklin 8-Square (4 September 1996)
This special unit by Neil Abrahams has just been added to Suzanne Alejandre's Magic Square Web Unit. This material is designed to serve as a construction activity, a lesson in finding paterns and using statistical terminology, or an exercise in creating algebraic proofs.

Summer Institute - Constructing Math on the Internet (4 September 1996)
Significant increases have been made to documentation of Institute projects and activities, including new opportunities to participate. Although the 1996 Institute is history, it's not too late to get involved - or follow in our footsteps.

Geometer's Sketchpad Labs by Mike Riedy (4 September 1996)
The latest addition to the Forum's Dynamic Geometry Software pages. These four new activities use GSP sketches to lead students through various dynamic and interactive explorations of geometry. Mr. Riedy has also added a new and final section to his GSP Intro Lab
