Organ, Lang Music Hall, Swarthmore College
Lang Music Hall at Swarthmore College is a beautiful space. At one side of the stage there's an organ built into the wall. The entire wall at the back of the stage behind the performers is a window overlooking the woods.Inspired by Mary Miss, whose work I saw in 1992 at the Museum of Modern Art, the photo construction on the right combines assembled repetitions of two negatives: one of the back window wall and the other of the organ taken from onstage.
