Introduction to our Group

The Geometry Forum sponsored a week-long summer workshop to acquaint teachers with the powerful resources of the internet. Attendees participated in a seven-day workshop at Swarthmore College which incorporated learning tools to access the internet as well as time to develop expertise in using these tools. Participants were assigned to groups whose task was to generate a GROUP PROJECT, on a topic chosen by group members.

The eight members of our group included seven high school teachers and one self-described " gopher site." Five of us were locals ; the three others hail from South Carolina, Georgia and Canada. We chose a project that afforded us the opportunity to apply what we had learned and would serve as a resource when we returned to our classroom.
