List of Participants

Paul L. Myers
Here I am at beautiful Swarthmore College near Philadelphia preparing to
embark on a week of Internet immersion. Here's a few tidbits about
myself.
Personal
Married with 5 kids (21,17,13,12,2).
Enjoy playing basketball, reading modern fiction, listening to jazz - but
I rarely have time (see above).
Professional
Taught for 25 years (2 years in Uganda, 3 years in Kenya, 1 year in Malta,
the rest in Atlanta).
Currently chairman of the Math & CS Department at Woodward Academy (Private
PK-12 with 2500 students) in Atlanta.
Major curricular interests are mathematical modeling, data
analysis/probability/statistics, effective and appropriate use of
technology, internet.
Computer/Internet
Never have taken a formal computer course.
Program in BASIC/LOGO.
Playing with Internet about 1.5 years - got totally hooked after the Forum
workshop at Berry College last summer.
Goals for the week
Proficiency with HTML.
Designing a course(Stochastic Geometry, Chance, Strategy & Conflict, etc.)
with significant reliance on Internet resources.
