This is a picture of Pat sitting in Winston Churchill's chair at the museum at Bletchy Park where the Enigma was decoded. The cigar case fits into a secret slot in the chair, and the bottle of champagne was the suggestion of the museum curator...a great guy!

- Taught AP math (calculus and Stats) for over twenty years, the last 16 in Japan and England for the US Department of Defense
- Won the Presidential award (PAEMST) in 1991
- Is very interested in the origin, history, and etymology of the symbols and words we use in mathematics and mathematics education
- Has a web site with over 900 mathematical terms and symbols that has been cited in books, magazine articles, professional journals, and several Ph D theses -- Math Words and Other Words of Interest
- Loves touring in Europe
