William Thill

William Thill has taught Mathematics and AP Statistics at Harvard-Westlake since 2000. He is currently a finalist for the 2011 Presidential Award in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST). He is a staff member of the Park City Mathematics Institute Secondary Schools Teachers Program, where he co-wrote and designed three-week courses on the teaching of mathematics. He has contributed lessons for Educational Development Center in Statistics and Mathematics to meet Common Core Standards, and ran workshops at NCTM's Reasoning and Sense-Making Institute in 2011. He is also math coach for Teaching fellows in the Math for America Program. Thill earned an Honors BA in Mathematics at Trinity University (San Antonio, TX) in 1994, and a MA in Education in Secondary Mathematics with Distinction from Cal State - Northridge in 2008.
