Subject: Subtracting using fingers

	
My son can subtract 4 from 10 by opening up all the 10 fingers and
closing up (subtract) 4 fingers and the remaining 6 fingers is the
answer.

But when he comes to subtracting 4 from 12, he has a problem as he
only has 10 fingers. I think this may be a common problem. Anybody can
help?
