The question being:
     
     Do you know of any chat-rooms or other real-time ways of getting
in touch with other teachers of "at-risk-students" (Hey, what about
at-risk-teachers?)who have specific hints about how to overcome
students' "bad attitudes?" 
    I wouldn't mind trading some methods.
