Help her transfer finger counting to number counting. this can be done with finger paint. Make large numbers 1 to 9 each on its own page. have her put finger paint on the end of two fingers and have her put one dot for each finger beside the number symbol 2. (you can get the dot pattern from the dotmath website) Do this with all the numbers to 9 and it will help her understand what the number sybols mean.
