From: silverHalo <atomicus7@hotmail.com> To: Teacher2Teacher Public Discussion Date: 2006012917:15:08 Subject: Fixing a black screen One solution is doing a Memory Dump. These are the instructions for reseting the memory if you can't see the screen. Turn calculator on. Press the "2nd" (yellow button) and "+" (MEM) function (this takes us to the "Memory" screen. Then press the down arrow key 4 times (which is the #5 choice - Reset), then press "enter" (this selects the - Reset function). Then press "enter" again (this selects the - "All Memory" funtion). Then the down arrow key once, then "enter"( this selects the #2 choice - Reset). IF you did it right then you should see the normal screen again with the word "Memory cleared" or something like that. If you hold your screen at an angle in a good light source (sunlight) you can still see what you are doing on the screen, as it is not totally black. Hope this helps!!
