There is a learning disorder called dyscalculia. Unfortunately it is
not well known so it is often overlooked.  No one has "anxiety" about
math without a reason for it.  People who suffer from dyscalculia
become anxious when expected to do math just as someone with dyslexia
becomes anxious when they have to read.  For more information please
