From: wane <wane_taukei@yahoo.com> To: Teacher2Teacher Public Discussion Date: 2006082405:57:29 Subject: Math Anxiety i believe that maths anxiety is not the result of todays' activities. the weaknesses in maths performance could be blamed for the poor mathematical background that a person may have had, together with the negative comments that could be showered on to him/her. as to overcome this, positive reinforcement could be provided to the child in informing him/her that mathematics in not tough...it could be fun. prove the fun to the child by involving maths with games and other fuf filled activities. in doing so, you will be assisting in removing the negative stamina that could be on the child with regard to maths. happy dealing with maths.
