once you get the two factors of "a times " that add up to "b", you
make two fractions, putting each factor over the "a" term.  Then you
simplify.  What is the denominator then becomes the coefficient for
the x term and the numerator becomes the constant in each binomial
factor of the trinomial.  Therefore, you are turning the bottom of the
fraction "up" in setting up your factors. 

Hope this made some sense... it is easier to do visually!
