From: Heather Carter <compacttimeboard@yahoo.com> To: Teacher2Teacher Public Discussion Date: 2007013123:35:28 Subject: Re: Re: Re: teaching time I am a former elementary teacher and now am the state K-6 Math Specialist for Southeast Arkansas. I have always had difficulty teaching elapsed time to my students. I searched high and low for a tool or resource that would help my kids understand elapsed time. I never found one that worked well, so I created my own! The Compact Time Board is my patent-pending manipulative that provides a hands-on approach to teaching elapsed time. It addresses all of the concerns listed in your post. If you are interested, check out my website at www.beyondthetextbook.net There is nothing like this on the market!
