Subject: Re: Re: My son can't do math thanks to trailblazers
My 4th grade daughter has been doing kumons for 5 months now...she
started in May of her 3rd grade..she was learning some great
foundation pieces however because kumons works on arithmetic problems
horizontally she was getting confused with the math at school with
problems being presented vertically...did you face any of this?
Her background is that as a K and 1st grader she was pulled from class
for physical and occupational therapy during math which of course hurt
her.
Any thoughts or comments? Did your son experience this
vertical/horizontal issue?
i.e. horizontal: 14 + 25 = 39
vertical: 14
+25

39
