If you wish to teach elementary school/middle school you will most likely seek a degree in elementary education with a minor in mathematics. If you wish to teach high school/middle school math you will most likely seek a major in math with a teaching certificate. This may vary depending on the state in which you wish to go to school and seek licensure. I hope this helps. Good Luck!
