Subject: Learning addition and subtraction - no fingers

	I am also having trouble maintaining my second graders interest in
math. He must learn to add and subtract without his fingers. How can I
help him. I tried to explain counting up and down from 10, but he did
not understand me. WHat have others used to help in this memorization?
