Subject: Re: Bulletin board - student teaching
Two ideas right off top of my head: 1) Do a skier to emphasize the different kinds of slope. Going uphill (excited) would be + slope; sitting on top (waiting his turn - neutral) = zero slope; coming downhill (almost over) = negative slope. If you come vertically downhill you will be undefined. Lots of math students could benefit! 2) An idea my students enjoy is to feature mathematicians, especially if you can relate to the month or to the subject matter. Remember, April is math month!
