In Cam Design:	
If f(t) = Distance
   1st derivative = Velocity = Rate of change of D(t) 
   2nd derivative = Acceleration = Rate of change of V(t)
   3rd derivative = Jerk = Rate of change of A(t)
   4th derivative = Jounce = Rate of change of Jk(t)
Jerk can be thought of as an Impact like a strike with a hammer and is
to be avoided for smooth motion and the avoidance of wear of
mechanical parts.
