I worry a little bit about the  above. If the applicant goes on to
explain that they would actually use math journals in any way
whatsoever, you probably want to avoid that applicant. What you really
want is to hire math teachers who are going to spend all the available
time teaching math and not some other subject, particularly not
writing and psychology.
