Subject: Question for teachers: AM and long term memory

I have a question for the educators....

If an objective is introduced and the child masters the objective-
i.e. scores 100% on the day it is introduced, does this one day
practice now put this skill in a child's long-term memory base?

If not, when would you say that this skill enters into long-term
memory? After the unit test covering the objective- or when the
objective pops up again in the form of review questions?
