Subject: Polar Coordinates and Imaginary Numbers
Electrical Engineering (from elementary level to advanced) uses polar
coordinates and imaginary numbers extensively in AC circuit analysis.
(They use "j" instead of "i" to avoid confusion ("i" represents AC
current).
