The grading policy I currently use has 30% homework, 20% test, 20%
quiz, 20% quarterly project, 10% participation.

Homework is most because it is given daily for practice.
Test and Quiz are the same because they test comprehension.
Quarterly projects are used to let students see the application of
Math in the world.
Participation is required to keep classroom discussions lively.
