From: Comfort Akwaji <comfort.akwaji@dmps.k12.ia.us> To: Teacher2Teacher Public Discussion Date: 2003022404:18:31 Subject: Cognitively Guided Math Instruction I am conducting a book study on the Children's Mathematics:cognitively guided instruction book by Carpenter & Fennema. Each week 24 k-5 teachers meet for one-and-a-half hour to discuss an assigned chapter(s), watch an accompanying video and then do a group reflection. Teachers are getting very excited about using this strategy but have some questions as we go. Is there someone who can be available to response to questions weekly? We meet on Monday afternoons and so will email our questions to you then, and hope to get a response the next day or prior to the next meeting day. I look forward to hearing from you.
