From: Tyisha Mitchell <tyishatyahir@netzero.com> To: Teacher2Teacher Public Discussion Date: 2004120323:48:49 Subject: Support for a first- year techer in math Its is very important to have support being a fist year teacher. Not everyone is good in math especillay teaching it. There should be workshops and special activities for teachers that may need that exrta boost. In addition, by adding programs to help support new teachers will reduce the retention rate for new teachers. teachers should be provided with extra sources in math to help them. School districts should do everything possible to keep math teachers because its a demand for math teachers because of school districts not giving enough of support for math teacers.
