Subject: The Quiet Game in 5th Grade

	
Children at this age can become quite competitive.  I try to foster
cooperation as often as possible.  All too often it's the English
language learner that does not get listened to.  Despite their
understanding of the Mathematical concept, it is usually the the most
verbally fluent that will take command of the group's direction. "The
Quiet Game" gave these students new recognition, pride and confidence.
